Hotels in Vegas
There is a myriad of Hotels in Vegas. Las Vegas is the largest city in the state of Nevada. Commonly referred to as The Entertainment Capital of the World, it is situated in the midst of the southern Nevada desert landscape. There is more number of Hotels in Vegas than anywhere other city in the United States of America.
The city has giant mega-casino hotels. These huge hotels are decorated with lavish care and attention to detail to create a fantasy-like atmosphere. These mega-casino hotels have names that evoke romance and mystery - Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Rio, The Excalibur, and the Flamingo. Others evoke the thought of popular worldwide destinations such as New York-New York, Paris, Monte Carlo, and the Venetian.
The vast majority of visitors to Las Vegas arrives on Friday or Saturday nights and stay for the weekend. As such, room rates can seem ridiculously cheap from Sunday-Thursday night but the rates zoom upwards on weekends.
Travelers can plan a trip to their advantage: by staying from Sunday through Thursday. In this way, one can not only save a bundle on hotel rates, but also take advantage of package deals that may include a show, meals, and gambling coupons -- occasionally worth more than the cost of the hotel room itself.
Be aware that many amenities that are included for free in other cities may be quite expensive in Las Vegas. Most hotels charge for use of the fitness center with rates around $20 to $40 per visit, local calls are usually billed, and wireless internet is generally at least $12 per day. In Las Vegas parlance, the words "hotel" and "casino" are interchangeable.
However, for those who are not bothered about saving some bucks and would rather like to indulge themselves (or their loved ones); there is a fleet of luxury hotels to choose from. Some of these Hotels in Vegas are so extravagant that the word “luxury” seems to fade away in comparison. Welcome to the playground of America’s rich and famous.
